Incanova is proud to highlight Green River Pottery, a Santa Fe destination for wheel-thrown stoneware and hands-on learning. Since 1998, potter Theo Helmstadter has been making durable, everyday pieces—plates, bowls, teapots, platters, and vases—fired to high temperatures (2350°F) and transformed through an intense reduction process for deep color and character.
For visitors who want to try their own clay journey, Green River Pottery offers easygoing, conversational pottery classes in Santa Fe. The studio supports different learning styles, balancing methodical instruction with room for spontaneity. Classes include one-time sessions for travelers, plus weekly classes, workshops, and internships.
Come by the Lena Street Loft near the Plaza, visit the studio schedule, and see how local Abiquiu clay becomes something personal.
